Open Storytelling Circle October 2014

Six folk huddled together against the impending Autumnal winds with a variety of tales. A few were most appropriate to the Halloween season, such as a Lovecraftian tale of madness and horror from Craig read by Adam, the traditional King o’ the cats and the etiological tale of how the Halter Devil Chapel came to be and got it’s name from Adam, plus a variety of local Yorkshire witches from Jim. Woven in and around these were some tales of daft Yorkshire customs from Jim, a few poems from Craig and the tale from the first branch of the Mabinogion concerning Pwyll and how he earned the title Pwyll, pen Annwn.
