Open Storytelling Circle December 2014

The last open storytelling of 2014. Tonight was a quiet one. On reflection, I recall that last year’s was also quiet, maybe a consequence of the time of year. Three of us turned up, one of whom was so laden with a chest cold he couldn’t contribute but just listen.

So Adam kicked off with a couple of tales… The Dream of Sandy The Cattleman and a tale about an Inn on the old post road running through North Wales to Holyhead, with witches, cats and a poet/wizard. Craig gave us a few poems from his teenage years and Adam finished with an impromptu telling of a Romanian story of the Swan Maiden and the King. We finished the evening with a chat about the effects of structure, openings and endings in storytelling and a brief chat about some of the future projects of the Guild.
